The Crochet Studio is a work in progress. I was told once that I’ve been “transformed by the hook”, which is so true. This blog is about all things crochet, as well as some other good things looped right in. The site itself is a place for me to explore and share my crochet adventures and where this path takes me.

Although The Crochet Studio is all new, I’m hardly new at any of this. I’ve been crocheting since the Winter of ‘05, when at first, the hook and I didn’t completely click. After a bit of practice and a lot of experimenting, the hook and I engaged in a lovely relationship together. Those first adventures can be found on my other blog, Shade Tree Crochet.

I’m an Associate Professional of the Crochet Guild of America, the founder of our local chapter called Topeka Crochet, and a certified crochet instructor through the Craft Yarn Council of America. Crochet is more than just a hobby–it’s a way of life.

You’re invited to walk along with me and see where this path leads. Personally, I’m excited about the trip so far.
